CH S*Zealous' Zemya Hamilton
NFO f 24

Only six months after we got our first female Okki, we were already looking for a new female. It was not that hard to convince ourself to believe, that we needed another female for the recently started cattery!

In october-november 2005 a fever to buy a new female hit us. Even though the colour wasn't the determinative thing, we had been dreaming of a beautiful blotched -or mackereltabby-white cat for a while. Once again we were thinking of importing the cat from one of our western neighbours, i.a.w. Sweden or Denmark. The idea was to look at the plans of different catteries to find the "right" combination and contact the breeder well ahead before the kittens were born, but plans are only plans and it didn't go like we thought it would....

We had told the breeder of our male Rudolf that we had some plans to look for a female. Very soon we got an e-mail from her telling that the S*Zealous' cattery had a promising looking female kitten for sale. We immediatelly had a look at this kitten on the breeders homepage. No, it was not the colour that we had been dreaming of. Instead it was a tortie mackereltabby kitten without white, but we really liked her looks and her pedigree and we decided to contact the cattery. The breeder told us that she thought Zemya was the most promising kitten in the litter and she would like to sell her to someone who would take her to shows and/or use her for breeding. We immediatelly created a good contact with the breeder and after a few e-mails we made a reservation on Zemya. A few weeks later we were convinced about Zemya's develop-ment and we informed the breeder that we would be happy to buy her.

Zemya is a harmonious cat with a lovely expression and good boning. She's got prominent lenghts allover; long body, high legs and a long tail. Her profile is long and straight. The ears are perfectly set and good sized. Zemya's weight at the age of 4 years is about 4,4 kg. She's also got a very nice coat quality, even though it could be a bit longer.

Zemya is quite calm but also a very lively in cat in between. Being almost 3 years old she's still a very playfull and funny girl and she really likes to be in the center of the action. She also speaks out loud when she wants to be cuddled.

On september 18th 2007, almost at the age of 1 year and 11 months, Zemya was classified HCM negative by Tapio Palolahti.

Thank you so much Nina for this sweet girl!
