GIP, SC SE*Restless Desperado, JW DVM DM As we decided to let Karita's parents have the bluemackereltabby-white boy Roope as a pet, we soon found ourselves surfing the kitten pages of different breeders. We had three females in the house and we definitely wanted our own male. It was also obvious, that it would be hard to find a "substitute" to our former male Rudolf as he was our first forest cat and very special to us. Furthermore, Rudolf was in our opinion an exemplary individual of his breed and just the kind of a stud we had wished for, which of course made it even more difficult to choose a new cat. It was also self evident that we wanted to stay to our original plan and import the male from abroad. However, we were surprised that the decision, in the end, was quite easy to make as Ressu's father happens to be Rudolf's brother from the same litter! At birth Ressu was so tiny weighting only 67g and we have to be honest and say that he didn't really get any attention from us in the beginning. However, a few weeks later it all had changed. The breeder thought already at an early stage that Ressu was very promising and at the age of 4-5 weeks we were convinced that this little boy has a lot of potential. If you look at Ressu's kitten pictures, you will, without no doubt, notice his BIIIG ears! They are XL in size, broad at base, open and excellent placed. It's also amusing that the eartips was stilll drooping a bit at the age of 3 moths. It's also obvious that he has herited them from his father as he had exactly the same kind of funny looking ears when he was a kitten. If you have a look at the pictures of Ressu's father and mother, it is also evident that these to cats will give kittens with beautiful ears, no doubt about that. The same thing can be said about the look. It's not that hard to see where Ressu's beautiful look is coming from! Add to this a long straight profile, a long body with a good boning, a nice chin and a super coat quality and there is not much to wish for. The tail could be a bit longer, but as we have said before, you can't have it all. At the age of 3 years Ressu's weight was about 5,5 kg. Today Ressu is a happy neuter with weight of 7,5 kg. Ressu is very calm and kind, but at the same time a brisk, brave and a social cat who loves to, among other things, be brushed and combed. He is also a true gentleman towards the girls in the house, at least most of the time... So far Ressu's show results are simply stunning! during 2007 he was 11 x BIS, 3 x BOX + several BIV and NOM and during 2008 he has been kategory II best breeding male on almost every show! His offsprings has so far (8/2011) got 82 x BIS ... On september 18th 2007, at the age of 1 year and 2 months, Ressu was classified HCM normal. The result was the same also in april 2010. Big thanks to you Ulrica and Lars for letting us have this handsome boy. We surely feel ourselves privileged. It will be so exciting to see him grow up! Offsprings: Tests: |
